What is DClean and who is it for?
DClean is a PWA that cleans up and optimizes 2D CAD drawings. It's built for people who work with CNC machines, laser cutters, or plotters and often receive messy files from clients or suppliers, with superfluous layers and formatting that slow down import into the machine.
What formats does it support?
DClean works with DXF and DWG files. Proprietary DWG files are converted to standardized DXF, compatible with most CAM software and machine fleets.
Are files uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser via native Web Workers: no file is ever sent to external cloud servers. Your drawings stay on your computer, ensuring full privacy.
Do I need to install anything?
No, DClean is a web app: you use it directly from the browser, no installation needed. Since it's a PWA you can still add it to your home screen for faster access, but it's not required.
What exactly gets removed or cleaned in the file?
DClean removes unused layers, orphaned blocks, and redundant text, dimensions, and formatting. The result is a lighter, tidier file, ready for cutting without superfluous elements that could confuse CAM software.
Is it compatible with existing CNC, laser, or plotter software?
Yes. The output is a standardized DXF file, the most widely used format for import into CNC machines, laser cutters, and plotters, so you can integrate it into your current workflow without changing tools.
How much does DClean cost?
